We are Focused Primarily on the Practice of Family Law
Since our inception in 1994, The Law Offices of Jonathan A. Zahler, P.A. has been committed to providing professional, aggressive, and fair minded representation to our clientele. Our attorneys and staff specialize in marital and family law in the State of Florida and we represent clients primarily in Duval, Clay, Nassau, and St. Johns counties. We are available for representation statewide in Florida, and pro hoc vice outside of Florida where circumstances arise.
The family law courts, Florida statutes and intricate case law governing family law matters, as well as complex rules of evidence and procedure present a complicated framework in which your case will be considered and adjudicated. In the family law court system, even a simple matter handled improperly or incorrectly through error of law, procedure, perception or by mere inaction, can create disastrous results often without any simple recourse. Even a brief initial consultation with an experienced attorney whether in family law or any other area of the law may provide adequate advice to a party or potential litigant to act in an appropriate course or manner which may avoid major problems and legal consequences in the future.
At The Law Offices of Jonathan A. Zahler, P.A., we recognize that your family law issues and legal proceedings create a heightened level of stress and emotion and we remain sensitive to your circumstances without compromising fair objective representation and legal counseling in your case. Thus, while in our pursuit and goal of obtaining the best outcome for our clients, we also recognize that family law matters uniquely address the interests of family units and specifically minor children who often have no voice in the litigation that very directly affects them. With that consideration, our firm's policy regarding litigation which affects children is to minimize their exposure from the litigation and disputes between the parties; although some litigation at times does require and necessitate the children's involvement. We do request that you do not bring minor children to our offices unless requested for some specific purpose or it is absolutely necessary. We further request that you absolutely do not bring your children to any Court proceedings without the required order of the Court.
Our firm has the experience and expertise to handles all matters which arise in family law proceedings including timesharing and parenting issues, equitable distribution of assets of liabilities, high income and asset cases, child and spousal support issues, complex business interests, paternity, complex jurisdiction and venue matters, and issues relating to enforcement and modification of judgments and orders. Our clientele includes pro athletes, professionals, doctors, lawyers, business owners, corporate executives, airline pilots, armed forces members and military personnel, all levels of wage earners, and stay at home spouses.
Please review our specific areas of practice which include all aspects of divorce, post dissolution of marriage or judgment issues, paternity actions, enforcement, modifications, Department of Revenue UIFSA & child support actions, and domestication and enforcement/modification of foreign family judgments. We do not handle adoption cases or juvenile dependency cases pursuant to Chapter 39 of the Florida Statutes, however we request that you contact us for referral regarding these matters or any other legal issues or matters outside of our specific areas of practice including bankruptcy, real estate, commercial transactions and litigation, personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, labor disputes, discrimination cases, and other legal matters through our extensive referral network.
